Deportation Today: Helen Mejia Speaks
Published November 04, 2009 @ 06:00AM PT
This is Helen Mejia, a citizen of the United States. If Senator Feinstein fails to introduce a private bill for the Mejia-Perez family today, Helen Mejia will be deported back to Guatemala--a place she has never seen.
Help stop this atrocity by taking the actions outline here.

Why?
Well they broke the law - they are not hardworking exemplary members of the community. She was smuggled into the US.
Helen is 13 - she's a minor. At 21 she gets to choose what citizenship she will keep.

Wire Paladin!!! Shut up! you the most selfish and dumbest person ever. She is a little girl it wasent her fault her parents brought her here! she is only 13 you dont relaize the crap places outside of the us go through your here in america enjoying the life with great foods of diffrernt countries and awsome schools and jobs and even though its rough becouse of the economy were in its better then where she came from. People like that only come here to live a better life have better food for thier children better education so they dont end up stupid like you! they want what is best for thier kid something you wouldent know about because your probably one of those always single guys who girls never want! when your people aka red necks, americans, white people etc... (in case you didn't get it) are in troulbe with the law they run to places like mexico and guatemala and you dont see them trying to deport them back to america or making them work or go throught the struggles they are in. They even treat you guys like guests. Its one of those situations to understand. Your wouldent like it if your whole family came here just to live a better life!!!(something you would! do) and you were cought and the only way to stay was for some signature that is pretty dumb. if you dont want to help why are you here and reading about it. get a life. it will be funny if one day there was a petition about you because you were getting sentenced to jail and in order to be free you needed 2,000 votes i know you will want the help but lets see if they even give it to you jerk

The deportation of Helen Mejia would be unjustified. Only idiots would justify the deportation of a girl who is a United States citizen. The deportation of her would be an atrocity, one in which Senator Feinstein must intervene in. It's also unfortunate that her parents wear ankle braclets. President Obama must support for and sign a law which would prohibit such transaction. Again, only idiots and the worst of United States citizens would approve of her deportation.

Wait a minute - isn't there a law currently on the books that prohibited them from coming into the country in the first place? If that law isn't enforced, what guarantee do we have that any new one signed by Obama, will be enforced?
She may be a eligible to become a US citizen, but she is also a citizen of Guatemala. Plus, she is minor. I suggest Edwin is the idiot.

Actually you are the only idiot here considering Helen and Dulce are both U.S. citizens who were born and brought up here. Their family came here, filed for asylum which they did win only to have a ruthless BIA overturn the decision. Gilbert Mejia is still in his asylum proceedings. Check up on facts before you write.

Prerna;
Are you calling me an 'idiot'?
Are you suggesting the Mejia-Perez family came to the US legally?
